With most of the events, indoor and outdoor, canceled this year, no need to say that we were eagerly waiting for the Showa Retro Car Osaka! Large gathering like this one bring a lot of controversy during these though times... The organizers did their best to avoid issues and every person was controlled and registered at the gate. The event was held on the Maishima island, near Osaka. It's a very popular spot for large car gathering as it offers a huge surface. And it was just enough to welcome hundreds of cars, trucks and bikes! This second Showa Retro Car edition was mainly dedicated to pre 80s vehicles, usually in their original shape. But we were happy to some "customized oldies" as well! (Yeah, "zokusha" is not a very popular word in this kind of event haha!)
Please enjoy some photos from the event!
The vehicles themselves are just the top of the iceberg. The best part of such events is hear the history, the stories behind what your eyes can only see!
Huge crush on this Cedric 230 Hardtop!
Can't wait for a third edition of the Showa Retro Car show next year! Hopefully things will get better by then! Please stay safe!
